Dear Students,

Fordham’s Center for Jewish Studies is happy to be offering a new workshop for Fordham undergraduate and graduate students titled “Zooming with the Hebrew Bible,” which will meet on Monday evenings from 8-9pm on zoom. The workshop is hosted by Fordham’s Hebrew language instructor, Hagit Galor Halperin, and no prior knowledge of Hebrew is necessary.

The workshop is an opportunity for students to read biblical narratives in translation, discuss them, and learn about the Biblical Hebrew in which they were originally written. It is also an opportunity for students to get to know one another at a time when campus interactions are limited.

There will be no advance preparations – just come for a good conversation!

Below you can find more information and meeting dates; attached, please find a flyer.  The first workshop meets on Monday, February 8.

To register, please email the workshop facilitator, Hagit Halperin, at hhalperin@fordham.edu  Please feel free to forward to any interested undergraduate or graduate students at the university, including students in your spring classes.

With best wishes and thanks,

Sarit Kattan Gribetz
