The Japanese Program at LC will be hosting a Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program information session on October 11th. A former JET program participant, who is now a JET Program Coordinator at the Consulate General of Japan in New York, will be coming to the instructor Yoko Sakurai’s class to provide information about JET as well as share his general experience of living in Japan.
The JET Program, managed by the Japanese government, sends English speakers to Japan to teach English in schools, boards of education, and government offices. Applicants don’t need any prior knowledge of the Japanese language, but must have graduated from university by summer 2025, so senior students are especially welcome.
RSVP is required. If the number of registrants exceeds the classroom capacity, priority will be given to senior students.
